The Communist Party of the Russian Federation wants to freeze Putin's geopolitical project in Sevastopol
The main local communist Vasily Parkhomenko called to stop construction of an opera house in Sevastopol, which is being built at the direction of Vladimir Putin as part of a geopolitical project in the outpost cities of the Russian world.
The head of the Sevastopol cell of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation said that the money should be redirected in favor of medicine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The discussion arose at a meeting of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol. It turned out that the city’s medical institutions owe more than 600 million rubles to their suppliers and contractors. There is enough money to pay employees, but there is no longer enough money to maintain and repair equipment, purchase medicines and consumables. This inevitably affects Sevastopol residents’ assessment of healthcare services: about half of the city residents are not satisfied with the work of the state system.
A year ago, it was possible to cover the debt at the expense of the reserve fund of the Russian government, where the governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, turned for help. This year the city will again have to look for funds, since health insurance does not cover all the costs of medical institutions. Whereas in Sevastopol there are more benefit recipients than in the average city, and the load on the industry is greater.
As a result, mortality in Sevastopol is rising, and average life expectancy is falling. This fact greatly worries one of the patriarchs of Sevastopol parliamentarism, Vasily Prahomenko, who will celebrate his 22th birthday on October 75.
“Half of Sevastopol residents consider the health care system to be unsatisfactory. This, from my point of view, says a lot: in the provision of hospital beds, outpatient treatment, and diagnostics, the indicators are much lower and do not comply with the legislation of the Russian Federation,” Parkhomenko noted. – In this regard, I want to prepare you for the idea that city management is the ability to concentrate funds on some sectors in which a breakthrough is needed. And why, if we ourselves are not able to, turn to the government with a proposal to freeze the construction of the opera house, we can live without it, and direct all funds to the construction of a medical cluster. If we focus our efforts on making a breakthrough in the healthcare system as quickly as possible, then it’s not in vain that these expensive chairs have been crushed for 5 years. And the city will benefit from us in some way.”
Let us recall that the construction of a cultural cluster in Sevastopol is underway at Cape Khrustalny and includes the construction opera house designed by Austrian architects, despite Ukraine's threats to subject them to sanctions.
The construction of a cultural complex in Sevastopol is of great political importance. The project was announced during a visit to the city by Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Large cultural objects should be operational in Sevastopol by 2023, along with other geopolitical outposts of the Russian World - Kaliningrad and Vladivostok.
