The Communist Party of the Russian Federation spoke out in defense of billionaires working in Crimea
Large Russian businessmen, whose companies received contracts for the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait and the new Tavrida highway in Crimea, should receive state support and be held up as an example to others.
The head of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Leonid Kalashnikov, stated this on the air of the 60 Minutes program.
“We must say clearly. Businessmen who are involved in the development of Crimea, for example, the same Rotenbergs (I don’t know either them or Abramov’s “VAD” sheep who are building Tavrida) - we must promote them and help them. Unlike those whom we protect in the West, against whom sanctions are imposed,” he said.
“It’s cool that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation wants to promote Russian business,” noted TV presenter Evgeny Popov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I was driving and there was a huge traffic jam. There are no rooms in hotels in Crimea anywhere, so you know,” Kalashnikov said about his recent visit to the peninsula.
“There’s no one there, the beaches are empty,” Popov joked.
“The first thing they did was introduce sanctions against those who are developing Crimea. And it needs to be mastered. There are no places, people have nowhere to settle, roads are being built, municipal roads need to be built. Russia must do everything to ensure that this peninsula is developed and protected,” the deputy concluded.
