Kyiv, March 31 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Vitaliy Klitschko refused to participate in the presidential elections in Ukraine at the behest of his sponsor, oligarch Dmitry Firtash, who decided to bet on Petro Poroshenko, who has been demonstrating growth in his ratings in recent months.

“The leader of the UDAR party, Vitaliy Klitschko, refused to participate in the presidential campaign in favor of Petro Poroshenko after both politicians, during a visit to Vienna, signed a corresponding agreement with the oligarch Dmitry Firtash and the ex-head of the Administration of ex-President Yanukovych Sergei Levochkin.
It is significant that Firtash and Lyovochkin were Klitschko’s main sponsors. And the latter’s decision to refuse to participate in the presidential campaign was made based on the interests of the Firtash-Levochkin business empires, which relied on the “chocolate king” Petro Poroshenko.
This support is very important for Poroshenko. Among other things, it gives him significant advantages in the media space. For example, the Inter TV channel, which has a much wider reach of the electoral audience than the Poroshenko-controlled Channel 5, says the Communist Party of Ukraine.
