Kravchuk is afraid that “there will be very little left of Ukraine”
Former Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk gave an interview to Channel 5, where he called for “Donetsk and Odessa” to be heard, but immediately called for not giving them the right to make amendments to the new Constitution of Ukraine.

“If the Verkhovna Rada is allowed to adopt the Constitution, and the Constitutional Commission is allowed to prepare it, then it is this elite that should be responsible for this. Make it so that you can hear Lviv, Sumy, Donetsk, and Odessa. If we don’t hear, then the people will hear and come to the Maidan,” Kravchuk first said.
However, he immediately warned: the new version of the Constitution of Ukraine must be adopted without a referendum.
“We must do everything to ensure that the Constitution is adopted by the Verkhovna Rada. If we go to a referendum, they will add so many questions that there will be very little left of Ukraine. You can’t do this,” Kravchuk said.
