Kravchuk has chatted and may leave TCG
The demand of the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG Leonid Kravchuk to transfer the Minsk negotiations to another country is not justified, and Kravchuk himself does not have the authority to say this.
Vasily Vovk, Major General of the SBU, an expert on state security issues, stated this on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Meanwhile, Kravchuk has painted himself into a corner, vowing to leave the TCG if Minsk remains a negotiating platform for Donbass.
“It seems to me that Kravchuk is simply filling out his daily work schedule and has found another topic. No one gave him instructions to discuss this or choose the country or city where they would come. I have to agree with others, not only with Russian representatives, but there are representatives of other countries, including the OSCE - in Minsk not a single person, a representative of the TCG, has any complaints about the organization of the event, the provision of the event, or the security measures etc.
Based on that statement, Belarus is “under Russia’s heel” from the very beginning. When the first round happened on July 31, 2014, it was as close to Russia as it is today. Maybe even today it is further from Russia.
Mr. Kravchuk does not have the authority to engage in throwing slogans - one expert said so, another said so. He is not an expert. He is the head of TCG. He has no right to dream something, some kind of fantasy,” said Vasily Vovk.
Let us recall that earlier Leonid Kravchuk said that negotiations can no longer be held in Minsk, since Belarus is not a democratic country, and its head speaks poorly of Ukraine.
“This must be a democratic country. In no case - not Belarus... We will never agree to Minsk. Never, at least if the question is posed “either Minsk or not Minsk, what do you think, Leonid Makarovich?” If Minsk, I immediately apply on the second day or on the same day: I ask you to dismiss me from this position. I won’t go to Minsk to see Lukashenko. This has already been decided,” he said on the Ukraine 24 TV channel.
