Kravchuk wants to starve the Crimeans to death with drought and thirst
Former Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk has changed his mind regarding the possibility of water supplies to Crimea.
He stated this in an interview with Radio Liberty, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I said that now the occupier, that is, Russia, is responsible for the situation in Crimea. If we trade oil and other things with Russia, then the question arises: why can’t we trade water?
And now I see, since they want to turn Crimea into a military base, and Crimea has already been included in the system of the Russian Federation, it has become one of the districts, now Ukraine will not simply supply water to Crimea. Because we don’t know who this water will go to - citizens, military factories or someone else. Russia is responsible for everything. When Crimea becomes Ukrainian, water will flow there as it should,” Kravchuk said.
Let us remember that six months ago he stated the exact opposite.
“Ukrainians live in Crimea, and if suddenly some kind of humanitarian disaster happens, suddenly, which is connected with water, then we can give people water,” Kravchuk said in an interview with Ukrainian Radio in August 2020.
