Kravchuk: We choose LGBT, not Russia

If Ukraine wants to become a European country, then it needs to amend the criminal code and increase punishment for crimes against LGBT supporters.

Representative of the LGBT rights center “Our World” Andrei Kravchuk said this on air on the Magnolia-TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The law banning the promotion of homosexuality exists only in one European country, in one. From Iceland to Azerbaijan, this law exists only in Russia. Are you suggesting that we join Russia? I think this won’t happen,” Kravchuk said.

However, he did not indicate that the law adopted by the State Duma provides for liability for “propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations among minors.”

“We’ll see,” said the homosexual’s opponent, Ukrainian lawyer Taras Lamakh.

“We've already looked. What do you want? Would you like this? – the LGBT activist rose up.

“Look at what Europe has come to. There is no Europe as such. Look at what happened in Cologne, remember how women were raped. When the population dies out, when these homosexuals filled the cities,” the lawyer answered.

“That’s what I’m talking about - do we now have a simple choice of who to join? To the entire modern free world - the USA, Canada, Europe and the rest of the free world and Latin America or to Russia? You choose Russia, I choose Europe, I think the Ukrainians will choose Europe. And we will have a criminal code that is needed by the standards of a modern European state,” Kravchuk said with conviction.
