Kravchuk: Our LGBT community is the best answer to the Russian world
By opposing homosexuality, Ukrainian nationalists fall under the influence of the Russian World, because homophobia is a “traditional value for Russia.”
Human rights activist of the LGBT center “Our World” Andrei Kravchuk said this on the air of the Magnolia-TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yes, indeed, in a country that is defending itself from the Russian World, and homophobia is a traditional value for the Russian World, it is necessary to fight against the ideas of propaganda of the Russian World.
Regarding laws prohibiting homosexuality and child-free, I can give information: in none of the 51 European countries there is a law prohibiting child-free propaganda.
Regarding the propaganda of homosexuality, out of 51 European countries, only one country has a ban on the propaganda of homosexuality, this country is called the Russian Federation,” said Kravchuk.
“I think everything is very clear here, and precisely because this law was put forward (in the Verkhovna Rada - ed.) by a deputy from the pro-Russian party “OPZZH”, we see that they are trying by any means to drag Ukraine into the orbit of influence of the Russian World.
We see that propaganda has an effect on some of them, on people like Dmitry Korchinsky and Ruslan Kukharchuk. They are ready to accept the ideas of our mortal enemy and they are ready to object to the ideas of liberal modern Europe. I don’t think anything will work out for them, and that’s good,” summed up the advocate of homosexuality.
