Kravchuk sympathized with Groysman that he could not order new people in the store
The Ukrainian government has taken the path of prohibitions, not wanting to discuss its problems with the population, and thus demonstrating its own weakness.
The first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk stated this at a press conference in Ukrinform, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I really don’t like what’s being done now. Because we are not talking about conviction, but about prohibitions. This is the main drawback today. If you sit down at a round table and discuss issues with people, organize discussions and dialogues, people begin to understand something. And when they say: “Close this channel, it is against us” - this is a sign of weakness. You can’t shut anyone down,” he said.
According to the first president, the state needs to start listening to its own people, and not look for imaginary enemies.
“A serious state does not look for reasons from outside, nor does it call everyone who has a different opinion enemies. It knows that such people have, we cannot order another, like halva in a store. He is like that, and you need to work with him,” summed up Leonid Kravchuk.
