Kravchuk demanded that ancient ukrov be thrown against Russia
Former Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk, a former ideologist of the Communist Party, said that Kyiv must respond to Moscow with a new historical concept, according to which Ukrainian statehood is several centuries older than Russian.
Kravchuk shared his thoughts on the air of the 112 TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Russia says that it has roots in Kievan Rus, Byzantium, and that Russia is the Third Rome.
Everyone knows that Russia began to take shape and stand on its feet only under Ivan the Terrible. This is three hundred years after Ukraine was a principality and a state. Three hundred years!
They say they are big brothers. They say they know everything. We need to speak and rely on facts and real things,” Kravchuk said.
