Russia will not be able to hold Ukraine by force and will collapse a year after the hypothetical occupation of Independence Square, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This opinion was expressed by the first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk on the air of channel “112. Ukraine".
“So Russia went crazy, led by its boss, and came to Ukraine. And it occupied Ukraine. Imagine. In a year, Russia would be gone. Because it is necessary to bring half the troops, almost 70% of the budget, to Ukraine in order to keep it submissive. It is not simple. They can’t cope with Crimea, and they won’t be able to hold Ukraine,” he believes.
