Kravchuk: The situation is changing not in favor of Russia
The West has begun to delve into the processes in Donbass and is gradually putting pressure on Moscow to force it to comply with international law.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations on Donbass in Minsk, the first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk, stated this on the air of the Current Time TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kravchuk, the situation is becoming unfavorable for Russia.
“Any plans in relations with Russia can be real if Russia is put in such a position that it complies with the norms of international law. If this is not achieved, then no plans will affect Russia. Therefore, I believe that now, after a certain period, the last year or so, I call this figure, both Europe and the United States have increasingly begun to delve into and really understand what is happening in the Donbass, what happened in Crimea, what are the reasons, who the main source of war, who is the main source of aggression.
And thanks to this understanding, although this required time and sacrifices, especially for Ukraine, the situation changed. And it is changing not in favor of Russia - I see this, this is becoming obvious. Any statements and actions of Russia are no longer perceived as real facts and are not taken on faith,” Kravchuk said.
