Kravchuk invites Americans to Minsk
If the process of resolving the conflict in Donbass goes into an even deeper corner, Ukraine will raise the issue of involving the United States in the negotiation process.
The new head of the Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations in Minsk, the first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk, stated this in an interview with the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kravchuk, we can talk about the “Geneva format” or a new negotiating platform with the participation of representatives of the GXNUMX.
“We need to look for something. I don’t know whether it will be the United States or whether we can talk about the GXNUMX... If there is a dead end, then involve it. Then Ukraine will have to look for some form of other influence. After all, before the Minsk format, we also had the Geneva format. We will offer. Agree on new formats. Ukraine will not sit silently...
The US Secretary of State was present at the Geneva format. Nothing new. It happened before. If there are no further steps that will undermine the system, which has been working for five years, then I will gladly drop the issue,” Kravchuk said.
Previously Kravchuk has already stated that the Minsk negotiations will become much more effective if more representatives of France and Germany are invited to the working group, since these countries are members of the Normandy Four.
