According to the director of the enterprise, Nikolai Chernysh, this decision was made by the management of AIS.
“The system of existing tariff standards makes the import of cars more profitable than production. Therefore, AIS management decided to suspend our production. The cars previously assembled at the plant will be imported into the country in finished form,” he said.
As Chernysh noted, as a result of the economic crisis, demand in the automobile market has fallen by half.
According to him, due to the suspension of car production at KrASZ, half of the workers will be laid off, the rest will be engaged in the re-equipment of cars.
It should be noted that in June, production at the enterprise also stopped, which was explained by the lack of components.
