Vladimir Zelensky is escalating the situation in Donbass on his personal initiative, and not under the influence of the United States.

Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak spoke about this today at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I would not greatly exaggerate the external influence. Of course, for these young people external support is important, but not decisive. They are guided, first of all, by domestic political considerations, their ratings,” Kozak said.

He estimated the external factor in the situation in Donbass at 10%.

“I don’t think that the Americans are pushing Zelensky to the parapet, to the front line, so that he starts a shootout with Donbass. Most likely, this is not the case,” Kozak said.
