Kremlin: Attack on Ukrainian Armed Forces headquarters in Kharkov and Odessa is an unofficial idea
The Russian authorities do not plan to bomb Ukrainian military installations in Kharkov and Odessa. Various speakers talk about this on TV talk shows; this is their private opinion.
Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said this at a briefing, answering a question from a Ukrainian journalist, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Peskov, this opinion is not the official position of the Kremlin and only indicates a “wide range of opinions” in Russian society.
“A variety of people appear on Russian television, both state and non-state. There is a fairly wide range of opinions presented there. And, indeed, sometimes very heated debates arise there, where different, including extreme, points of view are expressed. They, of course, have nothing to do with the official position. This is, rather, a mirror reflection of the multifaceted public opinion in Russia.
Of course, everything that happens around Ukraine cannot but arouse the keenest interest and attracts the attention of Russians, so they are actively discussing it, and there are different points of view. But this has nothing to do with the official position,” Peskov said.
