Kremlin political scientist called on Transnistria to intervene in the Ukrainian crisis
Moscow - Tiraspol, March 09 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Transnistria should intervene in the Ukrainian crisis, because if the Odessa region leaves the subordination of Kyiv, the unrecognized republic has a chance.
The corresponding forecast was published by political scientist Sergei Markov, who is considered close to the Kremlin.

“Transnistria gets its chance. If Odessa leaves the power of Kyiv, then Transnistria has a chance to finally realize its dream, to emerge from geographical isolation and further either to Russia or independence, as they wish. Pridnestrovians can help Odessa residents, truly help them free themselves from the Junta,” Markov wrote on Facebook.
The day before, Ukraine announced strengthening security of the border with the PMR, explaining that participants in pro-Russian rallies in Odessa could come from there. According to Ukrainian military expert Dmitry Tymchuk, Russia has deployed 700 special forces troops to Transnistria in recent days.
