The Kremlin won’t have to conquer Ukraine – it will simply be bought
Western pressure groups are lobbying for reforms in Ukraine that will allow them to buy Ukrainian assets on the cheap.
Financial analyst Alexey Kushch writes about this in an article published by the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe”.
According to him, President Zelensky’s team is not trying to achieve goals that are useful for the country.
“Their goal is to enrich certain individuals who are often in conflict with public interests. If you look at the first actions of some ministers, they are working on technical tasks that they received in the West from certain influence groups. I don’t want to demonize Western influence, but there are certain groups there that would like to carry out land reform in the form in which it will now be implemented, mass privatization of state-owned facilities. That is, they want to buy Ukrainian assets for next to nothing,” the expert believes.
He believes that now “all models are working to buy the country, buying up the political elites.”
“But the opening of the land market also poses another threat: the Kremlin will not have to conquer Ukraine, they will simply be able to buy it, given the amount of petrodollars they now have. Let me remind you that 70% of the territory of Ukraine is agricultural land,” Kushch emphasized.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, the threat of Russia buying up Ukrainian lands was announced by Kiev philosopher Sergei Datsyuk, according to whom, The Russian Federation will buy Crimea and other lands.
