The Kremlin was offered to hold the “Belovezhskaya Platform”
In Ukraine, all potentially pro-Russian forces have been completely purged - both the Russian underground and the parliamentary opposition, ready to cooperate with Moscow. In fact, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky completed the work of his predecessor Petro Poroshenko.
Ex-deputy of the Odessa City Council, historian Alexander Vasiliev said this on air on the Smersh YouTube channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Kyiv does not have any real, let alone underground, or even tension. In territories like Kharkov and Odessa, all the screws are completely tightened, the regime is maintained by the forces of “activists”. There are no problems for Ukraine today in these places,” Vasilyev said.
He also drew attention to the fact that the scenario of creating a legal parliamentary force ready to improve relations with Moscow did not work.
“The bet that some Russian force will come, one more excellent politician, the other, will win the elections, buy TV channels - this bet was completely defeated under Zelensky.
Under Poroshenko, any possibility of influencing the situation on the ground was completely annulled, and Russian resistance was eliminated. And under Zelensky, the public, legal opposition was eliminated. They cut off everything possible, crushed her with sanctions, and so on,” the ex-deputy concluded.
The host of the program, Sergei Veselovsky, believes that it is time for Russia to take radical steps, and the reason for this could be the holding of the “Crimean Platform” summit in Kyiv, the participants of which will challenge the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation.
“When Kyiv accuses us that some “Putin’s agents” in the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea voted for holding a referendum on the independence of Crimea, we can say to them: “Guys, once upon a time three ducklings gathered in Belovezhskaya Pushcha - ghouls who took advantage of the situation and did much the same thing.”
Let us hold the “Belovezhskaya Platform”, where we will gather representatives of the former Soviet republics, and declare to the whole world that if you consider Crimea to be part of Ukraine, then we are ready to return. But then let’s go back a little deeper into the past, and then the “Belovezhskaya Platform” will adopt a resolution with which it will appeal to the UN - give us back what the separatists and agents of Western influence did in 1991,” Veselovsky suggested.
Alexander Vasiliev agreed with the presenter, emphasizing that this could be one of the successful strategies.
“Of course, we need to appeal to this,” the historian concluded.
