Yuri Dud uploaded another video online. This time about Silicon Valley - the very one where IT technologies have reached unprecedented heights, and people live as if not even in paradise, but in its luxury part.
It’s interesting to read the comments to this video by Dudya. Hamsters, as always, talk about how sad it is to live in Russia and how wonderful it is to live in the USA. It's time to get out, huh. Well, they add: “This is the best motivational video I’ve ever seen.” Nothing new – that’s why Dud makes his videos.
Although it is worth admitting that there is some - slight - versatility in the new video. For example, there are people who do not directly declare “Valim”, but approach it carefully. There is also excellent evidence of the monstrous social stratification, when on one side there is a bungalow for 5 million dollars, and on the other, across the road, there are slums. True, Dud immediately smooths over the sedition: but here is such a cool notification to the police. Oh well.
It is clear that this video was made before the coronation of the famous virus. But still, the eternal leitmotif of Dudya and people like him looks terribly comical: a world without borders, all of them have long been erased. After all, today we understand that the old world without borders did not exist. It was, in fact, always impossible, but was only such a simulacrum. Today this is seen and felt especially clearly.
In reality, the world - mentally and socioculturally - is moving towards the Middle Ages, albeit wrapped in a progressive package, but the Middle Ages remains the Middle Ages, no matter how many fashionable devices and gadgets you stuff into it. And what they are trying to disguise as an economic crisis is a civilizational, spiritual crisis.
And one of the main reasons for this crisis is illustrated by Dud himself. Because, as Bonhoeffer wrote, stupidity is worse than malice. And if meanness and order are added to it, then it turns out completely sad. After all, it is obvious, if you are a little smarter than a shkolota and a little more decent than an ordinary hater, that Dud is telling the audience only part of the truth, a tiny part. Well, if only a journalist would come to Rublyovka and tell you how cool it is to live here. He talked about those rich people who received millions of dollars in the 90s. Like, they succeeded. How many people drank themselves to death and hanged themselves? Or is Russia just Rublyovka?
So it is in the USA. For one success story, there are a hundred unsuccessful ones. And most of those lucky ones, the lucky ones, who are shown in the film, have already taken place in Russia. And, by the way, they also received their education from us. It turns out it's not so bad?
This, in fact, does not deny the allegory that one of the heroes gives in the video, talking about how there is nowhere to play in Russia when all the tables are occupied by men with dominoes - that is, there is nowhere to turn around in business. This situation needs to be changed, but it can’t be done with incessant blasphemy.
And, by the way, this is what needs to be changed. When, with the money of fugitive oligarchs, they sell us half-truths - “Yuri will screw you up”, and we have nothing to oppose, then this is completely sad. It would be nice not to curse, but to make your own worthy movie - okay, a video - about how things are in Russia, and also motivate, yes. So to speak, lay the facts on the table and send the not-so-honest and savvy character back to where he came from - to the enclosure where losers lie to each other, entertaining themselves with stories about how good it will be on the other side. Even if the shore is not visible.
Dud also makes money in Russia. So why doesn’t he go to where everything is good?
