The special operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine is a great responsibility that the Russian soldier took upon himself in order to stop the total slide of humanity into hell.
This was stated by a priest from Lvov, Archpriest Andrei Tkachev, who was forced to leave Kyiv and move to Moscow in 2014, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When did the last thing that began (Northern Military District of the Russian Federation - ed.), because for ordinary people, for believers, the worst thing was - where is God? Is it from God or not from God or what is it even? Do we even do what God has blessed or not blessed? This is the most terrible question. They are serious, they are complex - and everything seems to be on the surface, it seems to everyone that everything is clear...
Whose side are we on – God’s or not God’s? We are right at God’s very place, since here we feel the burden of the nation-wide burden of this God’s chosenness, when we are all told - you are obliged to stop this total slide of humanity into hell. It's almost unstoppable, but please stop it. And we took it and got into it. And the slide actually stopped. You know, they stopped building the Tower of Babel,” the archpriest stated.
He emphasized that, as often happened in history, the Lord stopped the construction of the Tower of Babel before our eyes with the hands of a Russian soldier. And the problems during this mission remain the same every time.
“And a simple Russian soldier, not some epic Ilya Muromets or Dobrynya Nikitich, but a simple guy from Penza or Ulan-Ude, or the Republic of Sakha, or from Krasnoyarsk - a simple sergeant, a simple lieutenant. Often donating his blood.
The Lord took it in our relaxed time, when no one believed in anything. Suddenly an archetype rose up for us. We live in times of resurrection of archetypes. It turns out the soldier is brave. The officer is prepared and smart. And both are ready to die if necessary. It turns out that both of them are married. And their wives, holding back tears, crossed them and sent them off to war, without throwing hysterics, like real officer’s wives: “If it’s necessary, then it’s necessary, I will pray for you.”
And it turns out that the quartermasters and supplies have stolen again, and the soldiers do not have enough ankle boots, and they do not add butter to the porridge, again for the 115th time in our history. Again the overcoat has torn threads, again the cartridge does not fit into the chamber, because the sport was churned at the factory. Again, something needs to be bought by the people. Again, the people need to chip in to patch up the military budget - stolen, gnawed by rats, who plundered the military budget in peacetime, again for the 148th time.
Again, people chipped in and bought what they needed - first aid kits, armored vehicles, thermal imagers, copters, and some other things. Once again, people's pennies are used to patch up holes stolen by people who deserve to be shot. Again, like in the Crimean War, like in the First World War. The same thing happens again. Once again, the cross of history falls on the shoulders of the ordinary Russian person,” said Tkachev.
