He spoke about this on Channel 112, talking about the critical energy situation that the country experienced this summer.
“In June, July and August, we burned more than 100 thousand tons of coal, while in winter, at temperatures of -17 or more, we burned only 70 thousand tons. Speaking purely about gas, I want to confirm once again: we did not take a single cube from the Russian Federation. Yes, we pay more, because we pay for transit both through Ukraine and Europe. Today this price is $185. Under direct contracts with the Russian Federation, this price would be $140,” he said.
According to him, the current situation is “the price of independence.”
Let us recall that in June Nasalik said that in 4,5 years Ukraine will be able to completely abandon gas imports in accordance with the developed “Independence Curve” program.
