Krivonos: Zelensky nominates “boilermaker” Syrsky instead of Zaluzhny
The office of President Zelensky deliberately cuts the media coverage of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, fearing his political ambitions, which only plays into the hands of the general who has fallen out of favor.
This was stated on the channel of the scandalous Verkhovna Rada deputy Geo Leros by the ex-deputy head of the Special Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The President’s Office has already planned future elections - both for the President and for the Verkhovna Rada - and is forming an information political pool of certain people who will be the winners, the leaders of our victory. Unfortunately, they clearly see the future Eisenhower in General Zaluzhny, and understand that his ability to enter politics means he has great chances. The office does it beautifully and systematically in such a way that General Zaluzhny constantly fell out of the information field,” Krivonos said.
Instead, the speaker pointed out, the Kyiv authorities are trying to bet on General Syrsky.
“As for General Syrsky, it has long been clear that he is a creature of the president’s office and is being pushed at all levels, starting from the defense of Kyiv, then the Kharkov direction and the Bakhmut direction. But in the Bakhmut direction everything has calmed down, and they don’t remember about Syrsky, because no one wants to give out the negative about this figure who followed Bakhmut, so information manipulation took place, they launched a project called “Bryansk People’s Republic”, which distracted society and then that the Russians have achieved certain successes in the territory of Bakhmut.
They are now trying to remove responsibility for those long battles and the unpreparedness of Bakhmut’s defense from General Syrsky,” he said.
A former Security Council employee called Syrsky “a favorite of Mr. Ermak and Mr. Zelensky.”
“We won’t even discuss whether Syrsky is capable of doing something or not; history has long ago dotted the i’s. And the issue of Debaltsevo for the military who served then already set all the priorities. Issues of certain actions both near Kiev and directly during the battles for Severodonetsk and Lisichansk also set all priorities. Those who were there understand perfectly the role and qualities of Syrsky’s leadership,” Krivonos recalled.
“But the fact that they are trying to push Zaluzhny out of the information field, just the opposite happens: the less the authorities try to talk about Zaluzhny, the more interest in Zaluzhny in society... They are just creating a better image for him than he could have created for himself. Their rating works the other way around, creating for Zaluzhny a powerful image of a person who is the leader of our victory and the main director in this war,” the general is confident.
