Retail sales in January-February 2015 fell by 22,6% compared to the same period last year. In general, retail trade in Ukraine fell to UAH 65,7 billion in January. This is evidence that Ukrainians have begun to buy significantly less. Such a decline will affect the activities of trade networks, both small, medium and large.
Hundreds of private enterprises engaged in this type of business activity, especially those with small sales volumes, are expected to close.
Economist Alexander Okhrimenko believes that everything is logical: “Sales volumes are falling... And, most likely, they will continue to fall. This is logical: Ukrainians save more because they do not know when this crisis will end. And he, as you can see, is in full swing..."
Let us recall that in January-February 2013, retail sales increased by 12,2% compared to 2012.
