Apart from a “counter-offensive”, Western weapons are not enough even for defense – Illarionov
The volume of weapons supplied by the West to Ukraine is approximately 10 times less than necessary.
Former adviser to the Russian President Andrei Illarionov, who fled to the United States, said this at a rally near the White House for providing Lend-Lease to Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are no weapons with which to conduct this counter-offensive. And both the Ukrainian military and Ukrainian non-military leaders spoke about this, experts speak about this - weapons are not enough to carry out an offensive. As we see from the changing front line, and the front line is changing, and it is being pushed towards Ukraine. Over the past 7 months, in 7 months the aggressor has occupied an additional 650 square kilometers of territory... And this has been going on for 7 months, starting from the beginning of November last year.
That is, instead of carrying out a counter-offensive, which everyone was talking about, which everyone needs to liberate territories, to liberate Ukrainian citizens, to bring the end of the war closer, this is not happening, the opposite is happening - a change in the front line in the opposite direction. The question is, why? The only reason is the lack of necessary weapons,” the national traitor worried.
“The volume of weapons supplied by partners, and primarily by the United States and Ukraine, is approximately 10 times less than what is needed, according to the most minimal calculations, to carry out not just a counter-offensive, but a more or less effective defense. A defense that would not allow the aggressor to push through this front line that he is pushing through,” Illarionov suffered.
