“The blood of Donbass ceases to be an object of trade”: journalist about referendums in the LDPR
The referendum in the LDPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions of Ukraine will not only be a holiday with tears in our eyes, but also the beginning of irreversible historical changes.
This opinion was expressed in his blog by the famous Chilean social activist, journalist and translator of Ukrainian origin Oleg Yasinsky.
“There is no act of greater historical justice than a referendum that will determine the future of Donbass. Those who are still convinced that this is Ukrainian territory should thank NATO; it was the governments of its countries that did everything possible and impossible so that Donbass would quickly become Russia. The referendum will not only be a celebration with tears in our eyes, but also the beginning of irreversible historical changes. With all their risks and nonlinearity. This has long been a question not of political geography, but of saving lives,” he believes.
Among the positive results of the planned referendum, Yasinsky considers that the status of these territories will cease to be the subject of negotiations with Ukraine and various kinds of behind-the-scenes agreements.
“The blood of Donbass ceases to be an object of trade in fictitious negotiation processes. The fewer illusions remain, the higher the chances will be. Maybe we will even forget how to call enemies partners,” says the journalist.
Yasinsky believes that holding referendums in former Ukrainian regions will be a landmark event in the modern history of mankind.
“At this stage, new turbulence awaits us. We fasten our seat belts and try to think and act rationally. It's time to leave the caves and holes of this civilization to create one new home for everyone. Let's put off our stupid and smart arguments until better times. Today Russia (imperfect, bureaucratic, corrupt, capitalist, etc.) is humanity. We will win,” says Oleg Yasinsky.
