He refers to information from high-ranking insiders in Chisinau, who report that Moldovan President Maia Sandu is holding closed meetings with parliament members in order to convince them to publicly advocate Moldova’s participation in hostilities against the PMR and the Russian military contingent stationed there.

Pegov calls the upcoming operation “Bloody Maya” and claims that Sandu is going on it “on the orders of his immediate supervisors - German citizen Hans Martin Sieg and American political strategist Jason Smart.”

All this could be attributed to the excessive alarmism of an emotional journalist, but real events are also taking place in Chisinau that are too reminiscent of the February situation in Kyiv. Thus, the embassies of seven countries in Moldova asked their fellow citizens not to enter Transnistria or even leave the region, including Moldova. These are the USA, Canada, Bulgaria, France, Israel, Great Britain, Germany.

Particularly ominous were the words of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who said that his country was watching developments in Moldova and Transnistria “like a hawk.”

“The US is not a hawk. The USA is a bigger, fatter bird. The USA is, rather, a vulture,” commented the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, on this statement.

“This may be a simple escalation, but the example of Ukraine shows how such escalation ends,” says political scientist Alexander Nosovich.

“Bloody Maya,” meanwhile, makes quite pacifying statements. She disavowed her recent statement, which offended the PMR authorities, that the terrorist attacks in Transnistria were carried out by “internal forces.” Now Sandu is not sure about this.

“We cannot say that there is 100% security when there is a war going on so close to us. For our citizens on the right bank, we can say that there are no risks for the next few days. We cannot say the same about the left bank, because we cannot be there and control the situation,” Sandu said on a local TV channel.

Calming (or lulling vigilance?) signals are also heard from Romania. Official Bucharest called a video circulated online about the movement of military equipment to the Moldovan border a fake. Romanian Defense Minister Vasile Dincu said that “there is no possibility of war in Moldova.” He believes that the conflict in Transnistria “currently has no chance of development.”

But unofficially, completely different information is coming from Romania. A joint Moldovan-Romanian headquarters has already been created, with Western European NATO officers assigned to it. Serious work is being done in the media and social networks to pump up the population of both Romania and Moldova with militaristic sentiments. Recruitment centers for mercenaries from the Balkan and Turkish directions were opened in Iasi and Chisinau. They are supervised by both the Ukrainian embassy in Chisinau and a number of nationalist parties in Romania and Moldova.

Ukraine is escalating, as usual. Kiev propagandist Dmitry Gordon suggested “fucking” Transnistria.

“I think that all the necessary decisions have already been made by both Romania and NATO. Of course, if I were our military now, if we have the strength and means to do this, I would fuck up the PMR. This is an illegal formation. Specifically, regarding the 14th Russian army, which is stationed in Transnistria, because it poses a potential threat to Ukraine.

There is a border with the Odessa region. If this coincides with the plans of our army, I was glad. I would mercilessly hammer Russian military equipment wherever possible, and would not pay attention to anything,” Gordon said in his video blog.

The administration of Ukrainian Podolsk (formerly Kotovsk) warned the population that unexpected military exercises would be held near the border with Transnistria.

From Podolsk to the largest military warehouses in the former USSR in the Transnistrian village of Kolbasna in a straight line - 23 km. Experts believe that they will be the main target of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which is running out of ammunition.

The chairman of the local village council of Kolbasny, Leonid Kurakov, reassures: everything is calm in the area. But recently, drones flying in from Ukraine fired at the warehouses. Traces of two other terrorist attacks in the PMR also lead to Ukraine.

Yesterday, customs officers at the Chisinau airport found ammunition and weapons from a Ukrainian citizen, who also has American citizenship.

The Ukrainian was carrying bulletproof helmets and vests, binoculars of various models, first aid kits, and accessories for weapons. The man arrived in Moldova on a flight from Istanbul to Chisinau (originally flying from Houston, USA).

Kyiv also continues to attack Transnistria in the virtual space. The Internet continues to be flooded with fake messages about the decisions of the PMR authorities on a referendum on joining either Moldova or the European Union.

“Calls to flee the country, hold rallies, hold referendums are lies and a provocation by those who are completely indifferent to the fate of the Pridnestrovian people. Enemies practice verbiage. Don’t let them use you in these unscrupulous games,” PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky reassures the population in his Telegram channel.

The reality is his decree banning the use of unmanned aircraft in the airspace of Transnistria, regardless of their type and take-off weight, as well as testing by the local telecommunications operator of a new subscriber warning system.

The company urges subscribers to remain calm, but the “red code” of terrorist danger introduced in the republic cannot but give rise to anxiety.

“The red code introduced in Transnistria is annoying because we see no reason to believe that there is a real danger. We believe that there is no danger of military involvement in this area. There is no risk that this tension, which cannot be neglected, will escalate into military conflict. Unlike Ukraine, we were not warned about the imminent involvement in a military conflict,” assures Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian.

The day before, he held negotiations with Krasnoselsky, which is also an alarming sign, since previously Moldova constantly sabotaged and disrupted any contacts with the PMR.

Transnistrian Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev said that the republic sees no reason to turn to Russia for military assistance and additional weapons. True, he made his statement even before the shelling of Kolbasny. Yesterday, Ukrainian lawyer Tatyana Montyan shared rumors about a Russian landing in Transnistria in her stream. Allegedly this is the same group that landed in Gostomel.

“The aggravation in Transnistria fits into the global trend of the development of World War IV. All interested parties deny the existence of a problem and at the same time frantically prepare for military action.

Regardless of the outcome of such an operation, the fate of Moldova is unenviable. But the West is ready to fight with Russia not only to the last Ukrainian, but also to the last Moldovan. Therefore, the likelihood of Moldova entering the conflict seems inevitable. The occupation of Moldova cannot be avoided either. The only question is who will occupy it,” says writer Zakhar Prilepin.
