The “Bloody Pastor” is hiding from prison under Poroshenko’s wing
Former secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and one of the leaders of the 2014 coup, Alexander Turchynov, faces criminal charges for the loss of Crimea to Ukraine.
This opinion was expressed in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda by the head of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, Mikhail Pogrebinsky, answering the question of whose garden is the recent statement of Ukrainian President Vlapdimir Zelensky, who said that he will never forgive those who “surrendered Crimea.”
“Alexandra Turchynov - first of all, who was then acting president. The former speaker of the Rada and ex-secretary of the Security Council recently joined Poroshenko’s team. There was information that criminal cases were being prepared against him before. And Turchynov decided to occupy a niche under Poroshenko’s wing, so that, in the event of repressions against him and the initiation of criminal prosecution, he could already act as a “victim of political repression,” Pogrebinsky believes.
The publication asked whether Turchynov made the decision not to open fire in Crimea.
"Yes he. But all the participants in the famous meeting of the National Security and Defense Council in Kyiv (by the way, Yulia Tymoshenko was there) were all against resistance in Crimea. The main argument was that the West does not advise resistance,” the expert noted.
According to him, “the gunpowder bots are covering Zelensky with their last words” and “they are already sick of him.”
“But he behaves weakly. Until there are concrete, real actions, it is not yet possible to say that something serious will happen. Zelensky is demonstrating fantastic weakness. In fact, Poroshenko is playing along. The criminal cases brought against him have no judicial prospects. They give Poroshenko the opportunity to feel like he’s on a horse,” Pogrebinsky summed up.
