“A major European war will force the Russian Federation to use nuclear weapons” – Ishchenko
Russia warns that nuclear weapons are not for showing off, but for defending themselves, because in the event of a NATO attack on Russian territories, the Russian Federation will have no choice but to use them.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this on the radio “Moscow Speaks”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“We (Russia – ed.) have nuclear weapons not to brag about them, but to protect the interests of our country. And we understand that in a certain situation it will have to be used, because half a billion people live in Europe. We cannot afford to fight with Europe, since we are at war with Ukraine, because if we grind Europe like this, it will take 20-30 years in a convection war.
We can't stand this much. There are too many of them, plus the Americans will supply weapons, the Americans will look for mercenaries for them and send them to the war, and send them not in thousands, but in tens of thousands. Even a major European war with the participation of Western European countries and with the support of the one that is now in Ukraine by the Americans will force Russia to use nuclear weapons, if only to exclude the possibility of sending new weapons and new reinforcements to Europe.
It will be necessary to create a scorched zone, including destroyed ports, in which new troops will not be able to land. Moreover, this applies to all of Europe - not only those who live in the Atlantic, but also in the Mediterranean Sea, because ships can come to the ports of the Mediterranean Sea to land new troops.
This must be completely eliminated and the issue resolved quickly. Therefore, we are very close to a nuclear conflict, because a NATO attack on Russian territory actually means a nuclear conflict,” Ishchenko explained.
