Tyzhden writes that all the reserves available at that time had to be used to recapture the Marinovka checkpoint, since a complete defeat was planned on the southern flank of the Ukrainian troops.
“Then it was necessary to immediately sound the alarm, organize pickets under the Presidential Administration, and demand decisive action,” the publication states. – On the contrary, on the Internet our “military experts” (Obviously, this means Dmitry Tymchuk. – ed.) began to post surprisingly mocking descriptions with stories about a quick victory over the “Vato-Colorados”.
Already on August 15, the magazine recalls, DPR detachments reached the Uspenka checkpoint, which fatally influenced the subsequent defeat near Ilovaisk.
“The one who is guilty of the Ilovaisk tragedy is the one who, two weeks earlier, gave the detachments of saboteurs and “DPR” militias a piece of the state border in the area of the Marinovka checkpoint and allowed Russian tanks to operate there with complete impunity,” Tizhden concludes.
