Kyiv, December 01 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – False ATO maps distributed by the Security Council became the reason for the defeat of the Ukrainian group near Ilovaisk.

“The media systematically disseminate messages and maps from the National Security and Defense Council information and analytical center about the situation in the east of the country,” the publication recalls. “For a long time they were more or less accurate. But it was from August 13 that they began – let’s call things by their proper names – to lie.”
Further, the Ukrainian magazine describes the situation that developed in the southern direction after the July cauldrons in which Kiev units found themselves after an unsuccessful operation to block the border with Russia, in particular, the subsequent capture of the Marinovka checkpoint by DPR units on August 13, and the next day - the village of Stepanovka, which Kiev tried to hide by continuing to show these strategic points on its maps as controlled by Ukrainian forces.
Tyzhden writes that all the reserves available at that time had to be used to recapture the Marinovka checkpoint, since a complete defeat was planned on the southern flank of the Ukrainian troops.
“Then it was necessary to immediately sound the alarm, organize pickets under the Presidential Administration, and demand decisive action,” the publication states. – On the contrary, on the Internet our “military experts” (Obviously, this means Dmitry Tymchuk. – ed.) began to post surprisingly mocking descriptions with stories about a quick victory over the “Vato-Colorados”.
Already on August 15, the magazine recalls, DPR detachments reached the Uspenka checkpoint, which fatally influenced the subsequent defeat near Ilovaisk.
“The one who is guilty of the Ilovaisk tragedy is the one who, two weeks earlier, gave the detachments of saboteurs and “DPR” militias a piece of the state border in the area of the Marinovka checkpoint and allowed Russian tanks to operate there with complete impunity,” Tizhden concludes.
