“My trading partners from Bahrain and China, whose interests I represent in Russia and the countries of South-Eastern Europe, are ready not only to modernize Crimean power plants, but also to build new ones. In addition, they are interested in implementing other infrastructure projects on the peninsula. A comprehensive solution has already been prepared for the disposal of all types of waste produced on the peninsula. It can be used in Crimea, which will provide additional environmental protection in the region. We intend to provide financing, planning, technology delivery, installation and launch of systems,” Dovin said.

“In total, we are talking about investments worth more than €100 million, which companies are ready to invest in the development of Crimea,” he added. – We have four months until the end of this year to hold all the necessary meetings with representatives of the Republic of Crimea. I visited the peninsula on a working visit in August and saw huge potential for investment. It is now important for foreign investors to receive guarantees of protection of their financial investments. If everything goes smoothly, we are ready to begin implementing projects in 2019.”

In turn, co-chairman of Business Russia Andrei Nazarov noted that Asian companies remain indifferent to the sanctions imposed by Western countries after the reunification of the peninsula with Russia, and therefore are pursuing an active investment policy towards Crimea.

“During the visit of the Slovak delegation, which included Stefan Dovina in the Republic of Crimea, we actually discussed the energy potential and infrastructure projects of the peninsula. It is not surprising that our colleagues want to invest in this sector. We are now working on the proposed projects, the implementation of which could begin in 2019 after the fifth anniversary of the Yalta Forum. We will also invite investors from China and Bahrain there. In general, hundreds of guests from one hundred countries are expected at the fifth YIEF,” Nazarov clarified.

As PolitNavigator reported, in the State Duma want to protect the anonymity of businessmen, investing in Crimea.

In addition, the Association of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol developed a scheme for attracting Western investment bypassing sanctions
