Cattle fleeing Ukraine
A Ukrainian shepherd was detained in Belarus for illegally crossing the border in search of cows that had escaped from him.
This was reported by the Charter 97 resource, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The 16-year-old boy explained to the border guards who detained him that he crossed the state border because he was looking for 170 head of cows that had escaped from the rest of the herd.
“Resident of the village Poznan, Rivne region, was registered as a violator of the border and rules of stay and transferred to the Ukrainian side. Let us note that in this area, Mozyr border guards have recorded the third case since the beginning of the year of large herds of cattle crossing the border from Ukrainian territory,” the Belarusian border guards said in a statement.
