Crimea breaks records for early holiday bookings
Every third air ticket sold in Russia today is to Crimea
The Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic, Vadim Volchenko, spoke about this at the Yalta International Economic Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In 18, 6,8 million tourists vacationed in Crimea. This is almost 30% more than the previous one. If we talk about 19, then today we have already received an increase of about 40%. We are always very careful in such forecasts, but for the period of deep booking, data for the May holidays, according to the information we received for the 1st quarter of this year, the growth is serious... A third of air tickets purchased in Russia today are in Crimea. These are quite serious numbers,” Volchenko said.
