“Crimea without a Muscovite is a flourishing land!”: Members of the Mejlis in Lvov picketed the Russian Consulate
Ukrainian nationalists and Mejlis members, who totaled just over a dozen people, held an action outside the walls of the Russian Federation consulate in Lviv, demanding that Crimea be returned to the agenda of negotiations, not limited to Donbass.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the action was called “No Normandy without Crimea!” Participants unfurled posters “Crimea without a Muscovite is a flourishing land”, “Ukraine without Crimea is not at all united”, “Crimea is not for the Kremlin”, etc.
The reason for the picket was the recent decision of the negotiators in Minsk to create a new platform where a dialogue between Kyiv and the LDPR could begin.
“We will not allow representatives of Ukraine to discuss the issues of Crimea and Donbass at the same table, thereby legitimizing the leaders of these gangs; we will not allow two integral parts of Ukrainian territory – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Slobozhanina – to be put on the same scale.
We will not allow strategic decisions to be made without our opinion. This concerns water supply, the construction of various structures that look very similar to the state border with another country,” said one of the organizers of the action, Mejlis member Enver Bekirov.
