Crimea was only a pretext for introducing Western sanctions
The West sought to impose sanctions against Russia, Crimea was only a pretext for this. This was announced today in Moscow at the first meeting of the international discussion club “March 18,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, said Andrei Pinchuk, executive director of the Donbass Volunteer Union.

“From my point of view, sanctions are what the West initially sought in relations with Russia, regardless of Crimea. Sanctions were taken against us because of Magnitsky, some gays, the Olympics and God knows what. It’s just that thanks to Crimea they were systematized. The West reached the calculated height to which it was striving. Sanctions are a special regime of relations with Russia that the West wants,” Pinchuk said.
He believes that Russia must get used to living under sanctions.
“We will always live with sanctions. I somehow live under sanctions, I think the country will cope with this,” Pinchuk believes.
As PolitNavigator reported, Russia in response to sanctions reoriented contracts from Europe to Asia.
