Crimea shows high turnout in elections
Crimea and Sevastopol saw high turnout in the first presidential elections in the history of the Russian peninsula.
Thus, according to the State Automated Information System “Elections”, in the city of Russian glory, as of 12 o’clock, 34,29% of voters had voted. In the republic, by this time the turnout was 32,41%, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Workers of the largest Crimean construction projects - the Crimean Bridge and the new terminal of Simferopol Airport - also vote. In general, the process of electing the Russian president in Crimea is being monitored by 43 international observers from 20 countries.
In total, according to the chairman of the election commission of the republic, Mikhail Malyshev, in Crimea 1 voters are included in the list.
“All sections are open, the situation in the sections is calm... I would like to inform you that we have clarified the information about two sections that are of interest to everyone: on the Crimean Bridge and at the airport. These sections also opened on time,” Malyshev said.
