Simferopol, July 25 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – In Kyiv they are thinking about how to make life as easy as possible for Russian Crimea, using, in particular, many years of experience in the economic blockade of Transnistria.

Using the example of the PMR, it is possible to build some models in relation to the peninsula, the Den newspaper writes: “There cannot be a complete analogy. If only because of the presence of a common border of the peninsula with Russia. Let it be only marine for now.”

Nevertheless, the publication notes, difficulties for the Russian authorities arise every day.

“The heads of state and government of the EU countries have authorized the European Commission and the EU foreign policy service to prepare proposals for blocking foreign investment in the economy of Crimea. This means that if such a decision is made, companies investing in Crimea will automatically be included in the EU “black list”. Even today there are not so many Russian companies willing to invest in the Crimean economy. There is no queue,” writes The Day.

Tightening on the part of the EU, the newspaper predicts, will lead to the fact that large investment projects in Crimea, in particular, the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait, the construction of a deep-water port in western Crimea, and the development of the Black Sea shelf, if carried out, will only be carried out with public money - business will shy away.

Sanctions against officials responsible “for working with separatist terrorists in eastern Ukraine and Crimea” are also useful:

“The use of such prohibitions and restrictions leads to tension in the Russian bureaucracy regarding possible appointments. Many career officials at all levels do not want to go to work on the peninsula, so as not to have problems later in the embassies and consulates of EU countries. All this leads to problems with professional personnel in Crimea,” states The Day.

The annexation of Crimea and events in Donbass, the publication believes, have given rise and continue to give rise to increasingly difficult problems for the Kremlin:

“There is a lot of talk in the Russian nationalist press about the fact that Donbass was surrendered by the Russian authorities, and they will never be forgiven for this. For now, the crisis in Transnistria and internal tension there remain somewhere in the shadow of the crisis in Donbass. However, this is nothing more than temporary. As the ATO succeeds, attention will shift to the banks of the Dniester and the Black Sea. Moreover, both problems are practically insoluble with the current political course of the Kremlin,” the publication emphasizes.

And in the fall a social explosion may begin in Transnistria:

“There will be an attempt to shift the blame onto Ukraine. But this will not make it any easier for residents of the region. The situation quickly becomes binary. Either Russia will take full financial support of the region, or this separatist project will cease to exist.

If this happens, then Crimea will also be in line,” the Kiev newspaper predicts.
