Simferopol, June 11 (Navigator, Kirill Boyarin, Evgeny Andreev, Mikhail Ryabov) – Today’s resignation of the first deputy head of the Council of Ministers of Crimea, Rustam Temirgaliev, from his post caused a lot of noise in the Crimean community. For many, this decision by a man who took an active part in the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation was extremely unexpected. A lot of rumors immediately spread, saying that the Deputy Prime Minister was involved in the recent “meat” scandal, when they tried to import a large batch of low-quality meat, banned in the Russian Federation, to the peninsula.

As a source close to the acting entourage told Navigator. the head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, Rustam Temirgaliev has indeed recently had several “sins” noticed.

“He had some matters that Aksenov did not talk about. They parted on good terms. There are things that are associated with non-fulfillment of obligations regarding some corruption schemes. When Aksenov came to power, he quite sincerely said that under no circumstances should anyone engage in the usual schemes. Firstly, this is such a state, and secondly, Aksenov has such a principle - he believes that you can make good money if you work honestly and for a long time, and do not grab it right away. Therefore, he could not forgive Temirgaliyev for losing his temper at several points. On the other hand, he acted honestly that he sent Temirgaliev of his own free will and did not wash dirty linen in public,” our interlocutor believes.

Rustam Temirgaliev himself is optimistic. Following the meeting of the Crimean parliament, he told reporters about the prospects that opened before him. True, he did not specify what exactly the young politician would do.

“I have certain broad prospects, which I will not talk about yet. The decision to resign was made consciously, it was prepared in advance. We agreed in principle with Sergei Valerievich that I would deal with the most complex problems in the government with electrification, food, and banks. These problems have been solved. I feel comfortable with the fact that I will oversee several areas as an advisor,” says Poiltik.

In turn, Navigator learned from leading Crimean political experts what, in their opinion, is actually connected with Temirgaliev’s departure from governing the republic.

“I think that there are unfortunate breakdowns that have led to certain disagreements and different understandings of solving the problems of the republic. Temirgaliyev himself decided to participate in other projects, but I have no doubt that he will return to the active phase of politics if he correctly builds his line of behavior in the coming months, because he is a fairly capable person. It’s too early to put an end to his career,” says the political scientist Alexander Formanchuk.

“Temirgaliev’s resignation was not voluntary, as they are trying to tell us. Aksenov suggested that he leave without making a fuss in the media and without disclosing information about the abuses that were revealed in his work. No one shows the details of these abuses, because Temirgaliev was given the opportunity to save face. I think we will never even know about them. But Rustam Temirgaliev has no opportunity for career growth - this is a good face for a bad game. We are talking about various kinds of abuses, which were reported to the top leadership of the country, so a change of leadership followed. I think that in a week a non-Crimean politician may be appointed to the role of first deputy,” the expert says Vladimir Egorov.

“As far as I know, this was a completely planned step. It was not associated with any crisis circumstances - the person simply accepted an invitation to another job. As planned, upon achieving certain results in the post of Deputy Prime Minister, Rustam Ilmirovich designated these results as the final transition of Crimea to the ruble zone, he began to prepare for a new place of work. That is, this is all vital and there are no intrigues here that may seem,” the political scientist assures Andrey Nikiforov.

“I have known Rustam since his childhood, when I served as a young officer with his father, a lieutenant colonel in the engineering training cycle in Perevalnoye, at the Simferopol Joint Military School. Both Temirgaliyevs always gave the impression of purposeful and very intelligent people, although, in my opinion, the elder played a decisive role in the development of his son and his political career.

Rustam always aroused my sympathy, he had an analytical mind, openness and everything necessary for the development of a young politician, although he did not show himself in the best way after the first collapse of Yanukovych in 2004, when Temirgaliev was a young functionary of the SDPU(o).

As far as I know, Temirgaliev Jr. was never part of Aksenov’s team, at least in 2009, when I communicated quite closely with the latter during the creation of the Russian Unity party. All of Aksenov’s closest associates of that time - Polonsky, Sheremet, who appeared a little later - are now in the Council of Ministers, so Temirgaliev’s departure from the post of Deputy Prime Minister was quite expected.

Obviously, Aksenov, following in the footsteps of the notorious late Vasily Dzharty, is building a kind of personal micro-dictatorship far from Moscow - what is the cost of legalizing an alternative power structure that is absolutely unacceptable for the mainland Russian Federation - the Crimean self-defense. Let me remind you that a couple of years ago, a timid attempt by the most influential governor of neighboring Kuban, Tkachev, to create something similar almost cost him his seat. It is clear that in Aksenov’s model of Crimea there is no place for a young and ambitious outsider – Temirgaliev. This is another alarming fact against the backdrop of complete oblivion of those people who made a decisive contribution to the preservation of the pro-Russian rebellious mood of the Crimeans during the years of persecution and hopelessness,” the chairman of the KRO “Vera”, a journalist, told Navigator Svyatoslav Kompaniets.
