Crimea is preparing to sign agreements with Donbass and the southern regions of what is still Ukraine
The south of Ukraine, Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics are priority areas of Crimea for the development of cooperation.
Georgy Muradov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Crimea and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the President of the Russian Federation, stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Crimea, of course, expects that with the recognition of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, cooperation will be fully established with these regions, with which there has always been close ties,” Muradov emphasized. “Now we expect to be among the first regions of the Russian Federation to sign full-fledged trade and economic agreements and agreements in the cultural and humanitarian field with the DPR and LPR.”
Economic and humanitarian relations with the Kherson region and the Azov region, according to the permanent representative, will be documented after the status of these territories is determined at the end of the special operation in Ukraine. Also connected with this is the recognition of the Russian status of Crimea, which in the future will resume rail and air communications with Ukraine.
At the same time, Crimea does not limit international life to the Ukrainian agenda. Muradov said that a meeting of the intergovernmental commission with Abkhazia, meetings of the leadership of Crimea and Syria, with South Ossetia, and a number of Asian countries will soon take place.
