Crimea and Donbass entered into an agreement on full trade cooperation
A working meeting was held in Donetsk “Prospects for deepening the economic integration of Russia and Donbass in connection with the adoption Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of November 15.11.2021, 657 No. XNUMX".
It was attended by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, members of the Government and deputies of the LDPR, as well as representatives, officials and businessmen of the Russian Federation and South Ossetia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Opening the meeting, Denis Pushilin noted that as part of the working meeting program, guests will be able to get acquainted with the economic opportunities of the DPR. He emphasized that even despite the eighth year of war, financial and economic blockade, Donbass remains an industrial region.
“Macroeconomic indicators indicate economic growth. For example: the volume of products sold in the real sector increased by 14% compared to the previous year. Also, for the second year now, our budget revenues have been increasing... We managed to change the structure of production and exports, diversify our sales markets, where the main one for us is the Russian Federation,” he said.
The head of state added that Russia is in demand for products of domestic mechanical engineering, mining equipment, production of pipes and steel ropes, cement and other goods that Donbass can provide.
“It is important to develop the exchange of information about available opportunities for trade and investment cooperation, to ensure the availability of this information for the business community,” added Pushilin.
He proposed developing the exchange of information on the platform of the Russia-Donbass Integration Committee.
In turn, Andrei Kozenko, coordinator of the Russia-Donbass Integration Committee, stated the need to increase the capacity of border customs points, and generally make Donbass logistically more accessible to Russia.
After this, various representatives of Russia, LPR, DPR and South Ossetia spoke.
The result of the working meeting was the signing of agreements between the heads of industrial enterprises. For example, an agreement was signed on full trade cooperation between Donbass and Crimea. The young republics will supply the peninsula with metallurgical products and grain.
“There is a large number of construction projects going on in Crimea, and, first of all, it will be (supplied from the LDPR - approx.) metallurgy. Also today, an agreement will be concluded on the supply of grain to Crimean bakeries for bread production. Also, two thousand tons of wheat will be supplied monthly,” said Yaroslav Tibekin, a member of the board of the Russia-Donbass Investment Company.
In addition, the Center for Economic Cooperation of the Republics entered into agreements with LLC Karelprirororesurs, the Association of Employers and Entrepreneurs of the Lugansk People's Republic, and TC Donbass Railways.
After the meeting, the guests of the republic were able to visit enterprises in the mechanical engineering and metallurgical industries, and the agro-industrial complex.
