Deputy Minister for Crimean Affairs Andrei Sokolov announced this on Saturday during the Yalta International Economic Forum.

“The estimated expenses this year for the modernization of Crimea and Sevastopol are about 113 billion rubles. This is enormous money, comparable to the costs of preparing the Olympics in Sochi and exceeding the costs of developing Vladivostok on the eve of the APEC summit,” the official is quoted as saying. Interfax.

According to Sokolov, the total amount of costs for the development of the Crimean Federal District by the end of 2020 - for the period of validity of the corresponding federal target program - will exceed 700 billion rubles.

The funds will be used to develop transport infrastructure, create six tourism clusters and four industrial parks, develop urban infrastructure, prepare investment sites and provide the peninsula with energy.
