Ukrainian journalist Vasily Muravitsky stated this during the Ukraine-Crimea teleconference on Channel 17.

According to Muravitsky, when speaking about the mass exodus of Crimean Tatars from the territory of the peninsula after its annexation to Russia, representatives of the Ukrainian authorities do not say that for the most part it was those Tatars who left the republic who were supporters of the radical Islamic organization Hizb ut Tahrir, banned in Russia.

According to him, about seven thousand Crimean Tatar families left the peninsula.
“Mainly representatives of the so-called radical movement Hizb ut Tahrir left. Moreover, they, for the most part, did not stop in Ukraine, but went to Western Europe under the guise of refugees,” Muravitsky said.
