"Maybe. If the country falls apart. Everything is heading towards this,” the politician said today “Interfax».
Answering the question whether, given the unfavorable development of the situation in Ukraine, it is necessary to hold a referendum on the separation of Crimea, he said that he prefers to “not chew” this topic, since today Crimea is one of the pillars of the central government. “And if we start doing this, we will simply destroy this central government,” he emphasized.
The speaker reminded that today the fight is not for Crimea, but for Kyiv. However, if, nevertheless, this central power is broken under pressure, the Supreme Council of the Republic will recognize only its decisions as legitimate for the autonomy, he assured.
“And then we will have the only way - this is the denunciation of the decision of the Presidium of the CPSU Central Committee of 1954 (on the transfer of Crimea to Ukraine - Navigator),” Konstantinov noted.
“From now on, we will recognize those decisions that we consider necessary,” he also emphasized.
