“Crimea will not catch up with us,” Sochi is not afraid of competition
Resorts in Sochi are not afraid of competition from Crimea, since while on the peninsula after Ukraine they will bring the tourism infrastructure to modern standards, the resort in the Caucasus will reach an even higher level.
Sergei Bachin, general director of the Rosa Khutor resort, stated this in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper.
“We don’t stand still. While the corresponding infrastructure is being built in Crimea, another five to ten years will pass, during which time we will advance even further,” he said, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
As an example of development, Bachin cited plans to open a network of eight to ten ecological camps around Rosa Khutor, where tourists can come along the trails, relax and go further. The creation of just one such camp will require from 50 million to 70 million rubles.
Now Rosa Khutor can accommodate up to 7 thousand vacationers at the same time.
