The “closed skies” regime introduced after the start of the special operation in Ukraine will cost Crimea three million tourists. In monetary terms, the republic's economy will be missing 180 billion rubles, which tourists leave in the region, buying food, services, paying for transport and housing.

The speaker of the State Council of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, said this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I am sure that the holiday season will take place, Crimean families will receive income, entrepreneurs will receive profits - perhaps not the same as before, but everyone will keep their business, everything will proceed as usual,” the speaker assured. “We have experienced much worse times in this regard, we managed to maintain the industry even when there were 4 million vacationers, and this year, as I understand it, there will be 6 million.”

After problems with transport logistics to the resorts of Crimea reached the president, the Russian government proposed solutions - to increase transportation by sea and return to the practice of a “single ticket” of combined delivery by air and bus.

“Systematic measures will be taken to resolve the issue of transport accessibility in the south of Russia,” assured Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. – The Ministry of Transport, together with the regions, needs to regulate and increase the volume of multimodal transportation using a “single ticket.” And by June 1, complete the organization of regular sea communications between resort towns on the Black Sea, where justified. This will enable citizens to consider alternative routes to recreational areas.”

To increase passenger traffic, the Ministry of Transport will launch regular bus service this season between Crimea and Adler, Minvody, Volgograd, and Stavropol. The cost of a plane + bus trip will be included in a single ticket, and for comfort, free travel intervals on the M4 Don highway will be allocated for buses.

“As for maritime transport this season, options are being considered for subsidizing high-speed sea communication between the Krasnodar Territory and Crimea and its information promotion in the event of subsidization and launch,” Vadim Volchenko, Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea, said on the air of “Crimea 24” and added that More than 500 thousand train tickets to Crimea will go on sale in a few days.

The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) has calculated that with the introduction of alternative solutions for transport delivery to Crimea, we can count on the return of 1,7 million tourists who planned to fly by plane, but are ready to switch to sea and road transport. It is important that road repairs do not turn the path to the sea into one big traffic jam, and travel along the M-4 Don highway becomes free during the holiday season.
