Crimea was in 3rd place in the top resorts of the Russian Federation at the end of 2016: Sochi and Anapa are ahead
For the third year in a row, Crimea is among the TOP most popular regions of Russia for holidays for Russian citizens. This is stated in a study by Hospitality Income Consulting, which studied bookings and ticket sales for the summer of 2016.
According to the data, the first place for Russians to relax was taken by the resort of Sochi, the second by Anapa, and the third by Crimea.

According to the company, on average, tourists vacationed in Crimea from 8 to 15 days, and the average hotel occupancy was 73%. In total, about 3 million vacationers have visited the peninsula since the beginning of the year. At the same time, a holiday in Crimea costs 16% more than in Sochi.
“The cost of a vacation for two adults and one child, when choosing a 3* hotel with 3 meals a day for 14 days when booking at the last minute, will cost an expensive average of 140,5 thousand rubles, 4* - 180 thousand rubles, 5* – 370,7 thousand rubles,” the study says.
