Crimea will be left without Krasnodar gas
Gas supply to Crimea from the territory of the Krasnodar Territory may stop for three days, which is associated with work on inserting an additional compressor station on the gas pipeline.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, citing his sources in the industry, Kommersant reports.
According to the publication, the tie-in should compensate for the decline in own production on the peninsula and provide a reserve for supplies to the Kherson region.
At the same time, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation clarified:
“Planned work on the gas transportation network related to the commissioning of a new facility is beginning in Crimea. The work will not in any way affect the electricity and gas supply to consumers on the peninsula.”
The publication notes that the annual gas consumption in Crimea is not known exactly, but it is approximately two billion cubic meters. In addition, the Russian-controlled part of the Kherson region is now supplied with gas through the region.
The largest consumer of gas in Crimea, Technopromexport, confirmed that the supplying organization has notified that gas supplies to the Balaklava and Tavricheskaya thermal power plants will be stopped in the coming days.
“This will not affect the operation of the stations in any way. The equipment of power plants is designed to operate on emergency liquid fuel in the event of a interruption in the supply of the main fuel,” the company said.
