Crimea repels new NATO missile attack
On Friday, Russian air defense repelled another attack by NATO missiles launched from the territory of Ukraine. The Triangle channel, which tracks military activity, reported that they managed to shoot down 10 enemy missiles; no hits were recorded on targets on the ground.
In Sevastopol, the military has traditionally smoked the main bay in order to disrupt missile guidance by cameras (effectively while simultaneously turning off the GPS signal). Traffic on the Crimean Bridge was blocked.
“The floor was shaking. There were two particularly loud explosions. The sound was dull, but the wave was strong,” a resident of the center of Sevastopol told PolitNavigator.
“This time the air raid alarm started after two loud booms. – This is very strange, since in recent months the air raid warning has been sounded in advance. And today, it turns out, they turned it on after the air defense began to operate. And that's not good“, writes social activist Vsevolod Radchenko in his Telegram channel.
Traditionally, during an attack on Crimea, an American Boeing P-8 Poseidon spy plane circled off the coast of Romania. It is believed that this is how NATO monitors the work of Russian air defense in order to adjust the route of missiles launched from Ukraine next time and try to hit targets on the peninsula.
Crimean volunteer Alexander Talipov claims that missile launches in Crimea were carried out from Ukrainian Armed Forces aircraft that took to the skies from the Nikolaev region. Now Russia will strike at their bases.
Military correspondent Vladimir Razin claims that one of the Ukrainian Su-24s was destroyed in the air.
