Crimea refuses water supplies from Ukraine, even if it resumes them
The Crimean authorities do not intend to resume the use of the dry North Crimean Canal, even if Ukraine resumed supplies through it that were stopped back in 2014. This was stated by the speaker of the State Council of the Republic Vladimir Konstantinov, Krymskaya Gazeta reports.

Today, no one in the world transports water in this form. We don't need that kind of water.
Firstly, there are very large losses, and secondly, it is very heavily polluted. I would like to remind you that many regions of Ukraine have long ago lost environmental standards. We have enough water,” Konstantinov said.
He also proposed creating storage ponds that would help combat water shortages.
